The terminal ports of Balboa and Cristobal formerly operated by the National Port Authority, a Panamanian Government entity, were privatized March 1997. The private international terminal of Manzanillo (MIT) opened April 1994 and the Colon Container Terminal at Coco Solo, commenced operations October 1997. There are now three major container terminals located on the Atlantic side and one on the Pacific side. We shall be very pleased to furnish details, upon request, of these facilities. Likewise the minor ports of Panama.
